What Is It?

Flyers Falling Up is based in Columbus, Ohio. Classes are offered every summer for students over the age of 9.

Aerial Silk, also known as tissu, ribbon or fabric, is an apparatus used in aerial acrobatics where a performer or performers hang and perform acrobatics while suspended by a special fabric. The performer climbs the suspended fabric without the use of safety lines, and relies only on their training and skill to ensure safety. The acrobat uses the fabric to: wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral their body into and out of various positions. Aerial silks may be used to fly through the air, striking poses and figures while flying. Routines are an exciting display of athleticism, coordination and flexibility.

Aerial Hoop, also known as lyra, is an apparatus in aerial acrobatics where the performer or performers hang and perform various moves while posing or contorting in a metal ring. The performer or performers can flip, pose, hold their weight, or hold another's weight in many visually appealing moves.

Partner Acrobatics, is where two or more performers balance their partner's weight in various positions. coordination and counter balance are very important as two or more acrobats work together to create flowing moves and impressive poses.
